Coronavirus Pandemic

LATEST UPDATE:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ;

We have experienced one of the most unusual times throughout our country/world. We consistently pray for the President and his Advisors to have wisdom and courage regarding our government. We believe the Lord answered those prayers and guided our President(s) in the decisions regarding the gatherings of people during the recent National Emergency.

Although COVID-19 continues to be a concern, we have returned to our normal services here at First Baptist Church. We Live Stream our Sunday morning service via YouTube, at 10:00 AM. However, we encourage people to attend worship service, if your health allows you to do so. The Bible commands us to not forsake assembling together as believers (Hebrews 10:25). We ask that you be mindful of Social Distancing. Be prepared to wave instead of shaking hands, and smile instead of giving a hug.

The nursery is available during any of our services.

Regarding Giving:

It is important that we do our best to stay on track with our annual budget. We encourage everyone to continue being faithful and give as the Lord enables you. We will continue to not pass the offering plate at this time. You may place your giving in either of the offering boxes located at the back of the sanctuary, or the box located beside the Prayer Room. If you are not comfortable attending our service in person, but wish to support your church, you may drop your giving by the office, or mail it to 210 Philip Street. We do discourage sending cash through the mail.

We are thankful for the Lord's protection during this time. Gratefully, those of us who know the Lord have assurance regarding eternal life. Be mindful that family, friends, and neighbors may not have such assurance. Perhaps they will become more aware of the frailty of life and consider their own eternities. Let’s pray that our lights will shine before men in such a way that they see our good works and glorify our Heavenly Father. May our trust in Him during difficult times be a faithful witness to those around us.
